BAG SYSTEM FOR CRYOPRESERVATION OF BODY FLUIDS

The invention concerns a bag system for cryopreservation of body fluids, namely blood, bone marrow or umbilical cord blood. The parts of said system are sterilized and can be separated from one another. Liquids enabling and/or promoting cryopreservation are provided in the bag system and/or can be introduced under sterilized conditions into said system. The inventive system comprises a device for directly sampling the body fluid (1) in a living body, one or several zones for mixing the liquids with the body fluid and/or for storing the mixture consisting of the liquids and the body fluid, several closure members (2) and connecting ducts (3) and an inlet element (4) and /or an outlet element (5). Said bag system is characterized in that the parts of the system which are mutually connected via the connecting ducts so as communicate form, prior to the installation of the bag system, a closed and sterile system and the zones for storing the mixture consisting of the liquids and the body fluid can be hermetically sealed and separated relative to one another.
