<p>A self contained radio apparatus for transmitting data, for example from within a tyre comprises an antenna (2) moulded into a patch (3) formed of a resiliently deformable material such as silicone rubber. Integrally formed with and upstanding from a major force of the patch (3) is a post (4) to the end of (6) of which remote from the patch (3) extend wires (7), which extend from the antenna (2). A radio device may then be mounted on the end (6) of pat and connected to the antenna (2) by means of the wires (7).</p> |
