The front (3) and rear (4) feet of the plywood toy animal form a common co-planar standing surface and are separated by a semi-circular opening (5). The back (1) reaches a high point and curves down from this each way similar to an animals back. The opening (5) is deep enough to form a back rest and the body should be waisted between the opening and the surfaces of the back. The convex form of the back (1) has a projecting part (1a) in the center segment and the head (2), especially the mouth, is wider than the body. The width of the feet and/or head and/or the rear part of the curved surface adapt to one another so as to give a firm three-point bearing when on its side.
