<p>A cooling apparatus (130) attaches to a cabinet (110) housing electronics (210) for protecting the electronics (210) from external elements. The cooling apparatus (130) includes an exterior surface (131) for exposure to the external elements and a coupling (132) that attaches the exterior surface (131) to the cabinet (110). When the cooling apparatus (130) is attached to a surface of the cabinet (110), the exterior surface (131) is maintained in a spaced-apart relationship from the cabinet (110), forming an enclosed channel (340) having a pair of openings (230, 240), one of the openings being located above the other. In such a manner, the cooling apparatus (130) can be added to cool an existing, installed, in-place cabinet without requiring extensive modification to the existing cabinet.</p> |
