<p>Color matching was impossible in a one-dimensional LUT, and color conversion accuracy sufficient to reproduce a change in fine hue in a monochromatic image could not be ensured in a three-dimensional LUT. In addition, the storage capacity of a color conversion table could not be suppressed without compromise in accuracy. A color conversion table having a plurality of elements of reference color image data in which the color data of a first image apparatus is allowed to correspond to the color data of a second image apparatus, and consisting of a specified total amount of information, wherein the above reference color image data is distributed in a specified region in a specified color space to thereby increase the color data information of each element of reference color image data over a specified amount within the limit of the above specified total amount information. In addition, a color conversion table is prepared by using a source table that accurately specifies colors for part of a color conversion table. Color conversion is performed with reference to these color conversion tables, whereby it is possible to restrict a storage capacity and perform color matching and a high-accuracy color conversion.</p> |
