GYROSCOPIC ACTUATOR

The invention relates to a novel gyroscopic actuator which is based on a mechanism that is designed to exploit the conservation of angular momentum in such a way as to supply a moment to the platform on which the device is disposed. In this way, the aforementioned platform can be adjusted in terms of pitch, roll and yaw, thereby producing the attitude required by a control system. The inventive actuator is suitable for use in aeronautics (aircraft manoeuvre control), the car industry (all types of land vehicle stabilisation), the naval industry (naval platform manoeuvring and stabilisation) and the aerospace industry (satellite attitude control).
