The housing (1) of a heating or hot water appliance consists of several interconnected walls, with at least one wall in form-locking engagement with the housing by a first fastening. The aforesaid wall or walls (6) is fastened and locked to the appliance without screws or rivets by a second fastening in the form of a hook or protrusion on the housing and/or on other parts of the appliance. The protrusion is formed on the wall and in the installed position locks in or behind a part of the housing.
