摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a machine tool for improving productivity by increasing a cutting speed on a time average basis while effectively suppressing the vibration of a structure to be generated during the movement of a moving body relative to a structure with driving systems. CONSTITUTION: The machine tool comprises a table body 3 linearly movable via guide members 4 having sliding or rolling guide faces on a bed 1 and the driving systems having ball screws 5 for moving the table body 3 along the guide faces. The pair of guide members 4 are provided at point-symmetrical positions about the position of a gravity center G of the table body 3, and the pair of driving systems having the ball screws 5 are provided at point- symmetrical positions about the position of the gravity center G of the table body 3 or the set of driving systems having the ball screws are provided at the position of the gravity center G.
