Hardened coatings for automobiles with excellent scratch, washing agent and acid comprising carboxyl containing polyester resins (A) which contain unit(s) derived from alicyclic multi basic acid (a) and/or alicyclic multi hydric alcohols (b) and (B) a vinyl polymer with an epoxy group(s) and hydroxy group(s). The composition gives a hardened coating with a maximum universal hardness (HU) of 500 N/mm<2>. An Independent claim is included for a coating including at least one layer of coloring primer and at least one layer of clear coat. The clear coat is the top layer comprising the automobile coating composition.
