PURPOSE: A locking device for an ignition switch at an automobile is provided to prevent the automobile from starting by another person by closing and opening the cover installed on a steering column box. CONSTITUTION: A locking device for an ignition switch at an automobile includes a steering column box(4) provided with a punch hole(6) formed one side thereof, a push button switch(5) protrusively formed on the other side and a sensor(17) and a first timer(18) installed thereinto by connecting to the push button switch(5) and a close and open member installed into the steering column box(4) to rotate by inserting into a rotation support axis(8) to support an ignition switch connected to a second timer(10), wherein the close and open member connected to the first timer(18) and the second timer(10) closes and opens the punch hole(6) by the power applied to the first timer(18) and the second timer(10). |
