The invention concerns an illuminating apparatus comprising a lamp, an electric power source and a socket designed for an insertible illuminating means, wherein are arranged two electric contacts. Said illuminating apparatus further comprises a device for protection against electric discharges. The invention also concerns a method for providing protection against electric discharges in lighted lamps. Said illuminating appliances are particular used when it is necessary to protect such systems against unauthorized access, for example against children's access.
