LCOS LCD USING OPTICAL ORIENTATION AND FABRICATING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An LCOS liquid crystal display device using optical alignment and a method for fabricating the same are provided to simply form alignment films of which alignment is uniform by radiating UV to alignment films on a glass substrate and a silicon substrate. CONSTITUTION: An LCOS(Liquid Crystal on Silicon) liquid crystal display device using optical alignment includes a first alignment film(12) disposed between a glass substrate(10) and liquid crystal(30), and a second alignment film(22) disposed between a silicon substrate(20) and the liquid crystal. The first alignment film is optically oriented by radiating UV light by a predetermined inclination angle, and the second alignment film is optically oriented by radiating UV perpendicularly to the silicon substrate.
