The method involves receiving data representations of a predetermined number of base images and generating a direction- dependent texture map (16) in accordance with the received base image data. The method then involves generating a scene in accordance with the generated direction-dependent texture map. An Independent claim is also included for a system for previewing a scene in real-time.
