摘要 PURPOSE: A method and a system for relocating an SRNS(Serving Radio Network Subsystem) in a packet network of an asynchronous IMT-2000(International Mobile Telecommunications-2000) communication network are provided to separate a path of realtime data transfer traffic and a path of non-realtime data transfer traffic, so as to minimize a delay for real-time traffic. CONSTITUTION: A source RNC(Radio Network Controller) triggers relocation(S100), and transmits a relocation required message(S110). An SGSN(Serving General packet radio service Support Node)-0 delivers the received relocation required message to an SGSN-1(S120). The SGSN-1 transmits a relocation request message(S130). A target RNC recognizes and responds to the received relocation request(S140). The target SGSN-1 delivers relocation response to the SGSN-0(S150). The SGSN-0 transmits a relocation command to the source RNC(S160), to check whether a current service is for a realtime RAB(Radio Access Bearer)(S170). If so, the source RNC continuously transceives GTP-PDU(GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) Tunneling Protocol-Packet Data Unit) data with a source packet terminal(S171), and if a non-realtime RAB is being serviced, the source RNC suspends the transmission of GTP-PDU data(S180). The source RNC delivers a relocation commit message and buffers the GTP-PDU(S190). The target RNC checks whether a current service is for a realtime RAB(S200). If so, the target RNC transceives PDCP(Packet Data Convergence Protocol)-PDU data with a packet terminal(S201), and if a non-realtime RAB is being serviced, the target RNC buffers the received GTP-PDU(S210). The target RNC detects relocation(S220). The SGSN-1 transmits a message of an updated PDP context request to a GGSN(Gateway General packet radio service Support Node)(S221). The GGSN transmits an update result to the SGSN-1(S222). The target RNC transmits buffered GTP-PDU data to the packet terminal(S230). The target RNC transmits a relocation complete message to the SGSN-1(S240). The SGSN-1 delivers a result of the relocation complete to the SGSN-0(S250). The SGSN-0 recognizes and responds to the completion of relocation(S260), then requests the release of the non-realtime RAB(S270). The source RNC transmits an RAB allocation response message(S280). And the SGSN-0 completes the relocation of all SRNSs(S290).
