PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control type optical fiber dispersion compensator capable of compensating different dispersion generated by a different propagation distance. SOLUTION: The control type optical fiber dispersion compensator is provided with an optical waveguide device and a plurality of gratings. These gratings are arranged in the optical waveguide device, each grating has each different center wavelength and the proportion of the size of a spectral range of each grating to a time delay difference is different in each grating. When the device receives an optical pulse signal, the center wavelength of each grating is changed by changing the length of the device, so that the optical pulse signal can be selectively passed through one of the gratings by changing the length of the device. |
