PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lipid dispersion composition that has improved dispersibility of ceramide, particularly N,N'-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)-N,N'- biscetylmalonamide and to provide an external preparation for skin that includes the composition of which the applicability to the skin preparation is improved. SOLUTION: The lipid dispersion composition contains a ceramide compound represented by general formula [1], hydroxylated phospholipid and polyhydric alcohol. The external preparation of skin included the lipid dispersion composition wherein m1 and m2 are each 10-14 and n1 and n2 are each 1-3.
