PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the sealing performance at the joint of an ink passage from a container housing 24 to a front head unit 10 and to facilitate replacement of a component. SOLUTION: A sleeve 73 communicating with an ink supply opening is secured to the upper surface of a front head unit 10 secured to the lower surface of the bottom plate 7a of a head holder member 7 and a recess for containing the large diameter tubular part of the sleeve 73 is formed in the bottom plate 7a. A backup plate 76 surrounding the outer circumference of the small diameter tubular part of the sleeve 73 is supported on the bottom plate 7a, and an O-ring 79 is fitted over the outer circumference at the small diameter tubular part on the upper surface of the backup plate 76. The downward outlet 26a of an ink channel 26 in the horizontal passage plate 24a of the container housing 24 is matched to the upper end opening of the sleeve 73 and then the passage plate 24a and the bottom plate 7a are tightened by means of a fixing plate 80 and a bolt 81 to deform the O-ring 79 elastically through the backup plate 76 thus sealing the gap at the joint of the outlet 26a and the sleeve 73. |
