PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brazing sheet in which erosion on brazing heating hardly occurs even in the part having a low working degree, and which has satisfactory brazability and excellent formability, and is suitable for a refrigerant passage of a laminating evaporator. SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy brazing sheet for a heat exchanger is obtained by cladding a brazing filler metal consisting of an Al-Si alloy or an Al-Si-Mg alloy as a surface material on one side or both sides of an Al-Mn alloy as a core material. The surface layer part on the side in contact with the brazing filler metal in the core material consists of a diffusion layer in which the alloy components in the brazing filler metal are diffused, and the diffusion layer part has a refining degree equal to H22 or H24. Further, the central part in the thickness direction of the core material has a refining degree equal to that of an O material, and the brazing filler metal has a refining degree equal to that of an O material.
