The abradable coating (24), designed to ensure the necessary clearance from blade tips and made from a material able to withstand high temperatures, such as a super-alloy or ceramic, has cavities that are open on the surface of the coating and extend for part of its depth. The cavities, or rectangular or polygonal section, are separated by partitions (27) set at an angle to the radial plane and forming a series of continuous trajectories between axial end faces. The depth of the cavities is between 0.3 and 1 mm, and at least a proportion part of the walls lies at an angle of 0 - 20 degrees to the radial plane.
