PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that maintains satisfactory image quality irrespective of whether a power source is ON or OFF in the process of an operation, by disposing a shutter on the recovered toner disposal side when the device power source is OFF. SOLUTION: The device has a recycle pipe 19 for recycling transfer residual toner on a photoreceptor drum 4, scraped by a cleaning blade 12, into hopper 6, a disposal pipe 15 for disposing of the transfer residual toner, and also the shutter 16 for switching a disposal opening 18 in the branch of both the pipes in order to open/close the opening 18. The device controls so that during a period of time that toner in the recycle pipe 19 and hopper 6 circulate one or more times, the recovered toner is disposed of. In the image forming device, the shutter 16 when the device power source is off is disposed on the recovered toner disposal side. |
