PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the conventional problem that in spite of the fact that the recycling of waste wood into a carbonized material is promising, most of waste wood produced in our country is incinerated under the present situation in which the capacity of treatment is not enough because of a high equipment cost, etc. SOLUTION: The apparatus realizes an improvement in a treatment capacity and a reduction in an equipment cost. In the apparatus, a vertical carbonizer capable of being installed at a low cost is provided with a plurality of chimneys to shorten a carbonization time and further provided with a blade-equipped discharge roller on the bottom of the carbonizer and an automatic discharging apparatus to realize the continuous production of a carbonized material.
