PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet processor capable of changing over a carrying direction with a small number of components. SOLUTION: In this paper sheet processor, a vane wheel 21 rotating with vanes 21a introduced in a carrying passage of a branch point 15 is disposed near a corner portion of the branch point 15 between a bill carrying passage 4 and a return carrying passage 7, and a carrying passage changeover gate 28 forming a first passage and a second passage carrying a bill by introducing a projecting part 28c into the carrying passage is disposed such that the gate 28 sandwiches the vane wheel 21 and the carrying passage. Thereby, a changeover of the carrying passage to three directions, i.e., a direction in the case of storage of the put-in bill, a direction in the case of the carrying of the put-in bill to a return port and a direction in the case of the carrying of the stored bill to the return port, is possible, the number of the components of the paper sheet processor is reduced, and the paper sheet processor can be miniaturized.
