The dynamic adjustment method measures an error function representing the signal quality. The variation of a module optical parameter is measured. The error differential introduced by the variation of the error function is measured, and an estimate made of the parameter value needed to reduce the error. The optical module parameter is then adjusted to the parameter value for each system function point.
