摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a Fe-Ni alloy having excellent rust resistance and low thermal expansion, and used for a shadow mask. SOLUTION: When manufacturing the low-thermal-expansion Fe-Ni alloy containing 0.001 to 0.05 wt.% Mn, main raw materials containing scraped iron, nickel and Fe-Ni alloy scrap and auxiliary raw materials containing the Fe-Si alloy and charcoal powder are melted in an electric furnace. The resultant molten metal is subjected to oxidation refining in an AOD (argon oxygen decarburization) furnace to undergo dephosphorization and decarburization. Then slag basicity CaO/SiO2 is regulated to 2 to 5 by newly feeding the Fe-Ni alloy, limestone and fluorite and deoxidation and finish desulfurization are performed.</p>
