METHOD FOR EFFECTIVELY UTILIZING WASTE ACTIVATED SLUDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for achieving most effective utilization of waste activated sludge responding to the properties of the sludge in a sintering process in an iron mill. SOLUTION: In the method for effectively utilizing waste activated sludge, excess activated sludge generated in facilities for biologically treating waste water is mixed in an aqueous slurry with raw material for sintering and sintered using a sintering machine. Activated sludge having 85 to <100 mass% concentration of water is used. Waste activated sludge generated from facilities for biologically treating waste water is effectively utilized and the treatment process of the facilities can be simplified.
