PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a newly useful panel mounting structure capable of easily piling up panels with different thicknesses in the vertical direction by using a common member. SOLUTION: When the panels 2 (21, 22 and 23) having different thicknesses are piled up in the vertical direction to form a wall surface, a horizontal member 6 is made to lie between both up and down panels 2, the lower end of the horizontal member 6 is engaged with an upper edge section of the panels 2 located on a lower step side and, at the same time, a lower edge section of the panels 2 located on an upper step side is engaged with the upper end of the horizontal member 6 to pile the panels 2 up each other.
