PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fragrant material useful for fragrant cosmetics. SOLUTION: At least one compound represented by general formula 1 (wherein R1 is hydrogen or a 1-3C hydrocarbyl group; and R2 is a 1-15C hydrocarbyl group), preferably a compound having a 2-15C hydrocarbyl group at a 5-position and particularly preferably a compound having a 2-10C hydrocarbyl group at the 5-position, is added to a fragrance composition. Further, the fragrance composition is added to fragrant cosmetics.
