PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixture for holding a ladder stable and the ladder using the same, which can prevent the ladder from falling when placed against a wall surface, can facilitate work for placing the ladder against the wall surface, and can prevent the wall surface from being damaged by the ladder placed against the wall surface. SOLUTION: This fixture for holding the ladder 10 stable is equipped with a side-slip preventing roller 40 for being mounted on the side of an upper end of the ladder 10; and the roller 40 is protruded to both right and left sides of the ladder 10, and journaled to be vertically rolled on the wall surface against which the ladder 10 is placed.
