MITE CONTROLLING AGENT COMPRISING N=SUBSTITUTED INDOLE DERIVATIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that a conventional controlling agent for mites parasitic on animals cannot be said to afford safety based on sufficient selective toxicity for organisms undergoing application and is not always satisfactory in aspects of controlling effects and immediate effectiveness thereof. SOLUTION: This mite controlling agent is obtained as a result of intensive studies on an insecticidal activity of an N-substituted indole compound on the mites and safety thereof for mammals including pets to find that the N- substituted indole derivative, e.g. 1-(2,6-dichloro-4- trifluoromethylphenyl)-3-(trifluoromethylthio)indole or 1-(2,6-dichloro-4- trifluoromethylphenyl)-3-(dichlorofluoromethylthio)indole exhibits the high insecticidal activity and immediate effectiveness and has further low toxicity to the mammals including the pets.
