The optical plug has a plug body (2) and a locking unit allowing assembly. There is a ferrule assembly in the body with a ferrule (3) for the optical fibre. The plug optical face is oblique with respect to the fibre axis. The plug body and ferrule axes have a first zone (35) extending from the free position to the nominal ferrule position. There is a second zone (36) beyond the nominal recoil position of the plug which has a higher angular play than the first zone.
