The locking handle assembly, for a window or door, has a profiled guide channel (16) to hold a sliding push rod (19) at the rabbet surface (15) of the metal or plastics swing window/door frame (1). The push rod is held by the side bar profile structures (17,18) of the channel. The handle (4) is mounted at the visible side (3) to shift a longitudinal carrier (8), which grips the push rod directly through a carrier pin (21) in a drilling (22) into the push rod.
