The invention proposes that the turbine shaft is provided with an electromagnetic thrust bearing which can support a pressure compensation piston in taking up the thrust exerted on the shaft due to the pressure difference across the blades, by controlling the current controlling the field based on the movement of the shaft from a reference position.
