PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of a luminescent display body which is capable of expressing the contour of an arbitrary shape without raising a cost and which has satisfactory visibility. SOLUTION: This optical fiber-rod luminescent display body has constitution in which, in the optical fiber rod made of plastic in which a reflection layer is provide between a core part and a clad part, non-through-holes each of which has a depth which penetrates the reflection layer from the side of the reflection layer and which does not reach the clad part and the diameter of the extent to which a light emitting diode is insertable are provided squarely to the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber rod at proper intervals and light emitting diodes are inserted into the non-through holes and fixed in the holes. |
