PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycarbonate diol capable of imparting mechanical strength such as good tensile strength to polyurethanes, prolonging durable period of polyurethanes and suitably usable for not only unexpandable elastomer, but also for polyurethane foam. SOLUTION: This polycarbonate diol has a structural unit represented by formula (I) (wherein n is an integer of 2-6) and a structural unit represented by formula (II) (wherein m is an integer of 2-4; x is an integer of 2-15). In the diol, the molar ratio of the structural unit represented by formula (I) to the structural unit represented by formula (II) is (2/8) to (9/1). The diol has hydroxy groups at both ends and has 400-3,000 number-average molecular weight. A polyurethane using the polycarbonate polyol as a raw material is also provided. |
