PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make possible the identification of the component of a sample emitted from a plurality of columns at the same time, and make adjustment relatively easy. SOLUTION: This detector for liquid chromatography 6 has one mercury lamp (a light source) 12; two flow cells 17a, 17b arranged so as to pass light from the light source 2 and to which samples exhausted from two columns and separated in a plurality components are successively supplied; and two sample side photoelectric tubes (photoelectric conversion tubes) 18a, 18b receiving light passed through two flow cells 17a, 17b and converting into electric signals.
