PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signboard which is free of differences in brightness and darkness on a display in spite of the signboard having a small thickness. SOLUTION: This signboard is a signboard provided with a case body 5 having the display 4 on the front surface of a fame 3 having a fluorescent lamp 1 and a light reflection plate 2, in which the fluorescent lamp 1 is provided with a cylindrical body 17 integrated with a light suppressing body 8 enclosing the front surface side of the fluorescent lamp 1 and a light transparent body 9 covering the rear surface side of the fluorescent lamp 1 and the frame 3 is provided with upwardly gradient means 7 and 10 for preventing useless reflection and the light reflection plate 2 is so formed as to overhang to the front surface side toward the end edge 3a of the frame as the plate parts increasingly from the fluorescent lamp 1.
