PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occurrences of the deterioration of an image quality and out of color registration or the like due to image density unevenness caused by the speed fluctuation of an endless belt member while securing the stable surface movement of the endless belt member. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with four photoreceptor drums 11, a transfer feeding belt 60, a driving roller 61 to transmit driving force to the transfer feeding belt 60 and a transfer roller 67 to form a transfer electric field at a transfer nip part by forming the transfer nip part by holding the transfer feeding belt with the photoreceptor drum, and the transfer roller is driven by a roller driving part 68 so that the surface of the transfer roller is slid to the transfer feeding belt 60. Thus, at least the transfer feeding belt part of the transfer nip part is always maintained in a tensioned state, so that the main cause of the occurrences of problems such as the image density unevenness and the out of color registration is suppressed and also the surface movement speed of the transfer feeding belt is simultaneously stabilized.
