PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color proof generation system which can obtain color approximation by preventing a difference in solid density due to differences of a form, ink, print conditions, etc. SOLUTION: The color proof generation system is equipped with an image processor which generates color-separated dot image data according to image data consisting of a plurality of colors and one or more output devices which output color proof obtained by making respective dots of the plurality of colors by exposing a photosensitive material to light spots consisting of combination of a plurality of light beams having different wavelength. The image processor includes a calculating means for calculating combination of respective light quantity values for emitting the plurality of light beams according to the combination of respective density values of respective components of a basic color corresponding to dots of the dot image data. The output device includes a control means which controls the exposure quantities of the plurality of light beams for exposure according to the combination of the respective light quantity values calculated by the calculating means.
