SOLUTION: This method of forming the coating films performs electrodeposition coating by a facility which is an electrodeposition coating facility having a vessel housing a cation electrodeposition coating material and having a plurality of electrodes (A) within the vessel and in which a plurality of the electrodes (A) consist of a plurality of roof electrodes (a) installed horizontally on the floor surface of the electrodeposition vessel confronting the roof surface of the automotive body (B), a plurality of side electrodes (b) installed horizontally on the floor surface of the electrodeposition vessel confronting the door of the automotive body (B) and a plurality of floor electrodes (c) installed horizontally on the floor surface of the electrodeposition vessel confronting the roof surface of the automotive body (B) and are installed horizontally to the floor surface of the electrodeposition vessel at least at >=1 points.
