PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain slag foaming at desiliconizing time rising the desiliconizing efficiency in the desiliconizing method in molten iron on a casting floor of a blast furnace. SOLUTION: When the molten iron from the blast furnace is received into a vessel for receiving the molten iron, the whole quantity of desiliconizing agent is charged into the molten iron at the initial stage in the case of receiving the molten iron, and after charging the desiliconizing agent, an alkaline metal compound and/or an alkaline earth metal compound are charged. Then, the alkaline metal compound and/or the alkaline earth metal compound are charged according to the generated SiO2 quantity. Further, the desiliconizing agent is charged according to the residual molten iron quantity remained in the vessel. Thus, in this method for desiliconizing the molten iron on the casting floor of the blast furnace, the prescribed quantity of molten iron can be held into the vessel by restraining the slag foaming at the desiliconizing time, and the overflow and the spattering of the slag are prevented at the carrying process of the vessel.
