PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition having a high detergent effect to contaminants resulted from sebum and protein. SOLUTION: There is provided a detergent composition for clothing, which contains, respectively in specific proportions, (a) hydrogen peroxide, (b) an introfier, (c) at least one selected from a compound (c1) having a Ca stability constant in a specific range and a molecular weight less than 1,000 and a compound (c2) which is prepared by polymerizing an unsaturated compound having a carboxy group and has a weight average molecular weight in a specific range, and (d) water, and has a pH of 9-12 at 20 deg.C, wherein the amount of 0.1 N aqueous sulfuric acid solution necessary to adjust the pH at 20 deg.C of 100 ml of the composition to 7 is 40-1,000 ml.
