PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable each of the side surface plates of a pair of sheet members in adjoining sides of each of the side surface plates to be well abutted and aligned to each other without being adhered through a glue applying piece. SOLUTION: This box is constituted such that two sheet members 2 composed of a flat plate 3 of regular pentagon acting as a top surface, and side surface plates 5 of regular pentagon extending in a radiating direction independently through folding lines 4 at each of the sides of the flat plate 3 are overlapped to each other. An extending free end side 5b of each of the side surface plates 5 is set to be longer in its size than that of the side of the flat plate 3. Each of the side surface plates 5 is engaged with a resilient member 6 kept in tension. Each of the side surface plates 5 is made flat when an external force is applied between a pair of upper and lower flat plates 3 acting as top surfaces. When the external force is removed, it is resiliently changed into a cubic form to cause the adjoining sides 5a and the extending free end sides 5b of the side surface plates 5 to be abutted to each other and also aligned, a space is formed inside the box to form a cubic box and a cubic box 1 of regular dodecahedron is formed.
