PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet pigment ink giving ink-jet printed images with high glossiness, light resistance and transparent feeling and also having improved dispersion stability, to provide an ink-jet cartridge using the same, to provide an ink-jet image printing method, and to provide ink-jet printed images given by the method. SOLUTION: The ink-jet pigment ink essentially comprises pigment particles, a hydrophilic solvent and water, wherein the surfaces of the pigment particles bear polar groups, and the solvent is selected from a polyhydric alcohol ether with a SP (solubility parameter) value of 9-12 and a polyhydric alcohol with a SP value of 12-14 and accounts for 6-40 mass% of the whole ink. |
