PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To narrow the width of a camera as much as possible and also to easily load/unload a cartridge. SOLUTION: This camera is equipped with a cartridge housing chamber (1) in which the cartridge (11) is housed, and a lock member (7) locking a back cover (6) with which the chamber (1) is covered, and a part of the member (7) is exposed from the chamber (1) by partially notching a part where the member (7) exists on the wall of a side surface forming the chamber (1). Or the camera is equipped with the chamber (1) in which the cartridge (11) is housed, the member (7) locking the back cover (6) with which the chamber (1) is covered, and a locking part regulating the rotation of the cartridge (11), and a part of the member (7) is exposed from the chamber (1) by partially notching a part positioned nearly on an opposite side to the locking part while putting the cartridge (11) in between.
