PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the deterioration in the contact point service life by preventing partial abrasion of a movable contact point 15 and a fixed contact point 20. SOLUTION: A regulating member 12 for engaging with a recessed part 11a of a regulating plate 11 when regulating rotation of a pinion moving body and the movable contact point 21 for opening-closing a current-carrying circuit of a starter motor are respectively arranged on a first movable body 15 and a second movable body, and both the first movable body 15 and the second movable body are driven by a common driving motor 3. This constitution does not incline the second movable body even if the first movable body 15 inclines since an output shaft 2 rotates when regulating the rotation of the pinion moving body by the regulating member 12. Thus, the movable contact point 21 does not incline when the movable contact point 21 abuts to the fixed contact point 20 when the second movable body is driven by the driving motor 3, and can abut to the fixed contact point 20 in a normal attitude so that the partial abrasion of the movable contact point 21 and the fixed contact point 20 can be prevented, and the deterioration in the contact point service life can be restrained.
