PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a color filter with high accuracy at a low cost. SOLUTION: A first cholesteric liquid crystal layer 20 has a reflection region Br for B color, a reflection region Gr for G color, while a second cholesteric liquid crystal layer 30 has a reflection region Br for B color and a reflection region Rr for R color. Each reflection region is formed by using a photomask so as to control the quantity of irradiation light. Since the common reflection region in the first and second cholesteric liquid crystal layers 20, 30 consists of the reflection region Br for the B color having the smallest quantity of irradiation light, the photomask can be shared. |
