PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutron reflector installed in a nuclear reactor, and capable of restraining leak of a cooling material generated from a gap among ring blocks constituting it. SOLUTION: In order to improve cooling capability of the ring blocks in a high-temperature region, the size, quantity and shape of cooling holes arranged in that region are improved. Sleeves, mechanical seals and the like around the cooling holes are installed among the ring blocks disposed vertically to each other. In order to increase axial force in temperature rise of a tie rod for fixing the ring blocks, improvement such as setting the linear expansion factor of the tie rod smaller than that of the ring block is carried out.
