PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device satisfactorily usable even in below-freezing temperature environment as an evaporative cooling device using demineralized water as a cooling medium. SOLUTION: This demineralized water evaporative cooling device is provided with a liquid phase/gas phase conversion part receiving heat from a cooled object and converting demineralized water used as the cooling medium, from a liquid phase into a gas phase; a gas phase passage communicating with the liquid phase/gas phase conversion part and guiding the demineralized water converted from the liquid phase into the gas phase; a gas phase/liquid phase conversion part communicating with the gas phase passage and receiving heat from the demineralized water converted into the gas phase, to convert the demineralized water from the gas phase into the liquid phase; a liquid phase passage communicating with the gas phase/liquid phase conversion part to guide the demineralized water converted from the gas phase into the liquid phase, into the liquid phase/gas phase conversion part; and a heating part provided at the gas phase/liquid phase conversion part to prevent freezing of the demineralized water.
