PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a local air cleaner which locally improves the degree of cleanliness in an arbitrary area in a clean room, reduces the equipment cost while suppressing the size of the equipment, and saves on the energy. SOLUTION: This local air cleaner comprises a support member 31 which is suspended from a ceiling of the clean room and provided with a suspension wall 30 therearound, and a fan filter unit 32 comprising a fan 35 and a filter 34 which are placed on the support member 31 slidably in the longitudinal direction or the right-to-left direction and fitted thereto with a space from the ceiling of the clean room.
