PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound that bears polyfunctional (meth)acryloyl groups that can give cured film layer having high sensitivity, flexibility, solvent resistance and hardness by irradiation with high-energy active rays, e.g. ultraviolet rays or electron beams. SOLUTION: The (meth)acrylate compund is produced by reacting carboxylic acid that has one or more carboxy groups in one molecule, is represented by the formula: R-(COOH)n1 [R is H or an organic residue; n1 is 1-30] and has a molecular weight of 46-3000 to with a prescribed (meth)acrylate in toluene and/or xylene.
